Open the Hips 4-Week Series
Even if you can’t make it as scheduled, you can still get the recorded classes.
Have you been sitting too much? Do you feel stiff when you stand up? If so, you probably have tight hips. All those hours of sitting shorten and weaken the hip muscles, creating stress and imbalances in the joints. This can cause low back pain, knee pain, and postural problems.
Join Susan for this progressive series designed to relieve pain and release tension through targeted stretching and strengthening of the hips – including hip flexors, hamstrings, glutes, and inner and outer hip muscles. We’ll use a few simple props, including a tennis ball, foam roller, and resistance band. You’ll learn valuable exercises and the proper technique for sculpting hip and thigh muscles, which is all about stabilizing your hips. You’ll leave feeling stronger, standing taller, sitting more comfortably, and moving freely! Watch this preview.
Even if you can’t make it to the series as scheduled, you can still join and get the workouts by signing up for the Live Virtual/Recorded option. In addition to receiving links to the live classes, you will also receive a link to a recording of each class shortly after it ends (only the in-studio class is recorded, not virtual participants). Each recording will be available to you for 7 days. So, you can workout at your convenience and be up to speed for the next class.

Get What You Want From Pilates
- Consistency Is Key. There’s a famous Joseph Pilates quote that says, “In 10 sessions you’ll feel the difference, in 20 sessions you’ll see a difference, and in 30 sessions you’ll have a whole new body”. Pilates can absolutely transform your body and the way you move and feel, but there’s no pressure-based timetable at PCOR. The key is the frequency and consistency of your practice. If you do Pilates at least 2 to 3 times a week, then your body will respond more effectively.
- Mix It Up. The beauty of Pilates is that there are hundreds of different exercises and a variety of lessons and classes. All of the equipment strengthens your core, conditions your entire body, and engages your muscles deeply through spring resistance, but each one moves and works your body in different ways. So, it’s fun cross-training for your body.
- A Little Homework Goes A Long Way. There are some very simple movements you can take from Pilates, incorporate into your daily life, and immediately start improving how you move and feel. Ask your teacher about Leg Lever and Rocking Horse. 😉

PCOR 11-Year Anniversary
Dear PCOR Community,
Happy Anniversary! Today we celebrate our 11-year anniversary, an amazing milestone by any measure. I want to take a moment to recognize all that we’ve accomplished together, including my outstanding team of teachers (Susan, Agnieszka, Lydia, Keva, Rashida, Angilique, Susana, Diana, Kara, and Beth), my Studio Manager, Shasha, and our front desk team.
I especially want to thank you, our clients, for 11 years of patronizing, supporting, and championing our studio. Some of you have been with us from the very beginning, and each of you has helped strengthen this community along the way. I have been especially heartened by your steadfast support over these last two years – through lockdowns, virtual sessions, mask mandates, and all the unknowns. You’re the reason we’re still here.
Thank you for sharing your deep appreciation for the work we do – in conversations, emails, and even singing our praises to others. You make our work meaningful and full of joy. So, this is your anniversary as much as it is ours. Here’s to many more years thriving together – body, mind, and spirit.
P.S. If you know someone who should join our awesome community, then please share this link to our Get Started Quiz:

Essential Stretch 4-Week Series
Even if you can’t make it as scheduled, you can still get the recorded workouts.
Tight muscles tend to weaken and weak muscles tend to tighten. Aging, poor posture, trauma, and sitting all contribute to short, tight muscles, stiffness, and pain. Regular stretching allows for easier and deeper movements, while building strength and stability.
Join Licensed Therapeutic Massage Therapist Beth Davis for this 4-week course to learn and explore a variety of stretching techniques, including dynamic, PNF (proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation), and static stretches, using a yoga strap or resistance band. Because you can do more harm than good stretching cold muscles, Beth will begin each session with a 10-15 minute warm up to prepare the body.
You’ll increase the range of motion in your joints, improve blood circulation and posture, and alleviate muscular tension. Experience 55 minutes of fun and freedom each week! Check out this video preview.
- Week 1 will focus on the lower body.
- Week 2 will focus on the upper body.
- Week 3 will combine the first two weeks to address the entire body.
- Week 4 will review, so that you can do these on your own.
