Make 2020 your strongest year yet! Do you know that you have 4 groups of abdominal muscles and 3 groups of glutes? We will work them all in this progressive 5-week course, from your deepest abs to the superficial “six pack,” and from your deepest hip rotators to a firmer “bum”. Together, these muscles play critical roles in stabilizing your spine and hips. When strong, they ease all movement, from walking to high-performance sports. When weak, they can contribute to hip, knee and chronic back pain. We will use the classic Pilates Matwork as a framework to deeply engage all of your abdominal and gluteal muscles to tone, mobilize and sculpt. We will also use bands, light weights and other small props to increase resistance and build strength. Start the New Year with a bang, not a whimper, by developing a core that will power you through 2020 and beyond!
