There’s no reason to be intimidated by the plank. When taught well, the plank is a beautiful combination of strength, suspension, coordination, support and interconnectedness. If you have a good understanding of its key elements and learn how to execute and combine them properly, then you can access the power of the plank. In this 45-minute workshop, you will learn principles and movements to help you properly connect your arms and shoulders to your core, use your whole body to support your plank, not just the upper body, and learn variations to help you progress your plank from beginner to advanced level.
We don’t come with an owner’s manual, but we should! The Body 101 series is about sharing simple, fundamental information and movements that can unlock a pathway, turn on a light bulb and transform the way you move and feel in your body.
All levels are welcome. No experience is necessary.To Reserve Your Spot
*NOTE: You will need an exercise mat, ideally placed on a hard floor. If you have a resistance band and a Pilates magic circle, then have them handy. If not, no worries! Check out our “What You Need” links for info on these and other suggested items.
