Get the spring back in your step! Walking is something that you probably don’t give much thought, but how you walk can have major impacts on your joints, posture and overall health and well-being. Dysfunctional walking patterns (gait) can lead to chronic aches and pains, joint dysfunction, muscle imbalances, poor posture and falls. In contrast, healthy gait is vibrant, flowing, integrated movement that feels good and improves your health.
In this workshop, we will explore and experience the bio-mechanics of your gait, learn about common unhealthy gait patterns, and then integrate and coordinate your gait through the whole body, working from the feet up. Not only will you will gain a better understanding of your movement patterning, but you will effect positive change in your body by learning and performing a series of exercises and movements designed to release, align, strengthen and connect you from head to toe. You will leave with a true sense of holistic movement, walking with more freedom, ease and vitality!
