w/ Susan Roth
Tuesdays, March 3 – March 31
7:00 – 7:55 pm
If you sit at a desk all day, spend hours sitting in traffic, hunch over your smartphone or slouch on the couch to relax, then you definitely need this series. Many of us are weak in the muscles in the back of our bodies and tight in the muscles in the front. This causes slumping, rounded shoulders, tight hip flexors and poor head and neck alignment, and it can lead to neck and back pain. You need to do extension exercises and build strong extensor muscles to keep your spine erect, your hips open and reduce the pressure on your spine.
Over the course of this series, Susan will teach and guide you through extensions of the back, hips, and shoulders to help stretch open the front of the body and bring your entire body into balance and alignment. We’ll also work to strengthen the deep back and abdominal muscles and glutes for powerful core support. Your body will say “Ahhhh!” as you feel how extension of the “back body” opens the “front body” and frees your whole body in everyday movements and at rest.
All levels are welcome. However, this series is not suitable for those with spinal or back injuries/conditions. Series dates: Tuesdays 3/3, 3/10, 3/17, 3/24, 3/31. This event is sold as a full 5-week series to ensure that you get the best results and includes a special series discount. Space is limited, and it will likely sell out quickly.
